Barbot, Richard

Richard Barbot, born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1961, has called Montreal home since childhood. Initially an illustrator at Perfection Graphics, he ventured into children’s book illustrations. His artistic journey blossomed with exhibitions, notably his solo debut in 1985. Barbot’s paintings intricately weave Haiti’s history with captivating imagination, transporting viewers to ethereal realms where vibrant colors and forms evoke mastery and enchantment.
