Bradfield, Patrick

Patrick Bradfield was born in Lilongwe, Malawi, residing there until 1970. The family then relocated to Nigeria and later Kenya. Educated in England, he attended West Sussex College of Design, studying design, printmaking, and painting. After college, he returned to Africa, exploring remote regions like Sudan, drawing and painting tribal people and their unchanged environments. Inspired by living in such contrasting environments, he creates art based on his experiences. Currently residing in Chichester, West Sussex, UK, Bradfield’s paintings often stem from his traveling sketches, evolving into watercolors, acrylics, and oils, influenced by his time living in the Turkana District of Northern Kenya and the semi-deserts of Sudan.
