From a young age, Nicole Folkes has been immersed in art, drawing inspiration from the vibrant hues of her island home. Painting is her source of happiness, allowing her to encapsulate fleeting moments that fuel her creativity. Each artwork is a labor of love, often taking up to a year to complete, as she embraces the unfolding magic of the process. Bringing home one of her paintings means embracing a piece of her joy, excitement, and dedication to her craft. While oil painting is her preferred medium for its vivid colors, it demands patience and perseverance. Nicole’s greatest muse is her son, whose childhood has sparked her creativity and prompted her to step away from art briefly to document his growth. Now, having shared her knowledge by teaching young, talented artists, including her child, Nicole returns to her passion with renewed vigor and enthusiasm.
