Gamboa, Consuelo

Consuelo Gamboa, born in Mexico, exhibited artistic talent from a young age, reminiscing, “My mother says I was born with a paintbrush in my hand.” Mentored by her grandmother, Consuelo Ferrera Gamboa, she honed her skills in Canterbury, England, and Paris, studying watercolor and portrait techniques. Settling in Southern California in 1978, she began publishing her art in 1981, founding GAMBOA Publishing in 1987, garnering global recognition for her ability to capture the essence of her subjects.
