A. C. Smith, a freelance artist from Mobile, Alabama, discovered his passion for drawing at age two. He attributes his talent to a divine gift, finding inspiration everywhere. Trained initially through “Culture in Black and White” and later in high school, he embarked on a career as a freelance artist after graduation. His journey includes local recognition, national exhibitions, and collaborations with notable companies like African American Expressions. Today, he balances creating art at The Beach Club in Gulf Shores, traveling, and enjoying success with his prints and exhibitions, including a notable showcase during the 2008 Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.
